Dumfries Conservation Area Under Threat by Neglect
Percy R. Hilborn donated 75 hectares land in the middle of Cambridge, Ontario in 1967. It became the Dumfries Conservation Area under the control of the Grand River Conservation Area.(GRCA)
In 1984 an arboretum was added with over 900 trees. In 2026 the arboretum has been abandoned, the grass in the former areas where events were held is not cut. Benches donated by people, some as memorials, are rotted and not maintained.
