Imagine researching an old Detroit newspaper from 1933 for a book you are working on, and you accidently find a news report about your grandfather from Sarnia, Ontario who was swindled. That is what happened to me.

I did know my grandfather but I was just a child at the time. That story was never passed down. I created a creative non-fiction short story of what the details of the events surrounding the swindle might have been.
